Creating a map

From the Maps page, click Create New Map in the top-right (or Create Your First Map if you don't have any yet).

There's only one thing to fill in:

• Map Name — whatever you want to call the chain (for example "Home", or your corp's name). Required, up to 255 characters.

Click Create Map and you're taken straight to the new, empty map.

What you get

• You're the owner. As the creator you have full control — you can edit everything, manage who else has access, and you're the only one who can delete the map. See Roles.
• A few hubs are pre-loaded. The major trade hubs — Jita, Amarr, Dodixie, Rens, and Hek — are added to your watch list and pinned, so route planning works the moment you start mapping.

From here you'll usually be greeted by the setup guide, then you can start adding systems or simply fly the chain and let it map itself.
